Introduction
The history of Groupement D’Employeurs Du Mesnil is a story of observation, innovation, and determination. Since our founding in 2015, we have worked to create a more stable, sustainable employment system for our region. Our journey is marked by milestones that reflect our growth, our adaptability, and our lasting commitment to our community.
The Beginning
In the early 2010s, businesses in our area were facing a shared problem: finding and keeping skilled staff was increasingly difficult. Many companies could not offer full-time positions, and workers needed stability that seasonal or part-time contracts could not provide.
The founders of Groupement D’Employeurs Du Mesnil saw an opportunity to change this dynamic. Inspired by similar models in other regions, they set out to create a cooperative structure where companies could share employees.
In 2015, the groupement was officially established, with its headquarters in Blacqueville.
Early Challenges
The concept was new to many local employers. Convincing them to join required explaining the benefits in detail, overcoming skepticism, and demonstrating that the model worked in practice.
In the first year, we focused on building trust. Our initial member companies were pioneers who believed in the potential of shared employment. Together, we developed processes for scheduling, administration, and communication that would later become the foundation of our operations.
Growth and Recognition
As our early placements succeeded, word spread. Businesses began to see the value in accessing skilled workers without committing to full-time contracts they could not sustain alone. Workers, in turn, appreciated the stability and variety offered by our model.
By our third year, we had expanded to include companies from different sectors, including manufacturing, logistics, administration, and skilled trades.
Adapting to Change
Economic shifts, such as fluctuations in demand and evolving industry needs, tested our flexibility. We adapted by diversifying our member base and investing more time in matching worker skills to specific company cultures and requirements.
The COVID-19 pandemic brought unprecedented challenges. Many businesses faced closures or reduced activity, but our shared employment model proved resilient. We were able to adjust schedules and placements quickly, helping both workers and employers navigate uncertainty.
Today and Tomorrow
Today, Groupement D’Employeurs Du Mesnil is recognized as a trusted partner in local employment. Our network continues to grow, our processes continue to improve, and our commitment remains unchanged.
We see the future as an opportunity to expand our services, reach more businesses, and create even greater stability for workers in our community.
